Frequently Asked Questions
-
My College Audition Timeline lays it all out, setting clear, realistic goals that guide you every step of the way in your college prep, from ACT/SAT tests, to auditions, to school selection and financial aid.

Theatre schools, universities and colleges with BA & BFA degrees are not all the same. As your coach, we will ask the right questions together: What has been successful for you? What resonates with you, and why? What doesn’t? We’ll do vision work, and talk about where you’ll thrive the most —at a big or small school. And when you graduate, where you’ll be able to go into the industry and work. The goal is to create a clear layout of the programs you’re interested in, and find you a school where you will be seen.
-
Absolutely, you do. And I’ve worked with plenty of students who have struggled to keep their GPAs up. No matter where your grades are at this point in time, we can create a vision and a plan to get you to the next step in your education.
-
No. With a few exceptions, you generally shouldn’t view a school before you audition. Save your time and money by touring a college or university at exactly the right time, when you’ll get the most out of your visit.
-
College should be some of the best years of a student’s life. And every student can use support, guidance, and someone knowledgeable in their corner when making a big life-decision like college. I have helped hundreds of students find the individual program that suits them best.
-
That depends. Guidance counselors are wonderful resources, and while they can certainly help you meet deadlines and submit your written application, that’s only a small part of the process when applying to theater programs. Working with a comprehensive coach, from applications to auditions to school selection, can make all the difference.
